February 1st 2026 brought along the coldest temperatures here at The Cove in over 15 years! 24° was recorded this morning at 7:00 am and it will only reach 40° by late afternoon! Much too cold for me! It should last for three days!
Having a house with no central heat means the wood stove will be performing overtime and we will be using a lot of firewood!
It will be a few days before we can access the damage to the plants and trees around the homestead.
