Building the Greenhouse…
Once retired, and having made the decision to sell The Herb Garden, I sold the greenhouses separate from the property and kept a 22′ x 44′ section to bring over to the current homestead. Dismantling this 44 ‘ x 102′ triple bay greenhouse was a chore to be sure! It sold very quickly within 1 day and I hauled my 44’ section home and began planning where to construct it. This was in December 2012.
There were not a lot of options on our property due to the numerous trees, but we decided on a location and I began clearing the area in January 2013. By end of summer 3/4 of the greenhouse was completed and with have the benches constructed by July we planted our first crop of plants and herbs.
