Welcome to The Garden at Tranquilla Cove!
In 1989 The Herb Garden was established in Melrose, Fl. to bring quality herbs to the North Central Florida area. For over 20 years, The Herb Garden was a successful wholesale nursery serving Gainesville, Jacksonville, Ocala, Orlando, and the surrounding communities. The Herb Garden was well known to Garden Clubs, Herb Societies, and the herbal community for quality herbs. As a result, The Herb Garden established a prominent role in North Central Florida’s Herbal awakening.
After retirement, we continue growing Culinary and Medicinal herbs in our main gardens. With 8 raised beds, we grow organically, using chicken, horse, and cow manure and cover crops. This insures a replenishment of the soil as well as keeping the bugs in check. From our herb and kitchen garden beds to the main garden beds, we enjoy fresh healthy seasonal produce and herbs in The Cove Garden.
